The Forest

One of the oldest geographic features in Aldor. Northeast of Aurenthaal, bordering Zarenthor to the north and the Elindrath Kingdom to the east.

Character

Sound travels strangely within the forest. You can hear things at the edge of perception, voices that aren't there, sounds from further away than they should carry, silences that feel occupied. Scholars from Aurenthaal have studied it. They publish careful papers that explain nothing.

Most people avoid it. The edges are navigable. The interior is not something experienced travellers recommend.

The People on the Border

A small Half-orc settlement exists on the border between the forest and Zarenthor. They were displaced from within the forest by something they will not describe. They know the forest better than anyone currently inside it. That knowledge stays with them.
